Steven DiMartino is one of the nation's leading independent meteorologists specializing in Weather intelligence, operational forecasting, and forensic meteorology.

For more than two decades, Steve has built his reputation by doing what exceptional meteorologists do best: reading the atmosphere, challenging model output, and translating complex weather signals into clear, actionable guidance. His work is grounded in observational meteorology, atmospheric dynamics, climatology, ensemble guidance, and the kind of pattern recognition that can only be developed through thousands of real-world forecasts.

Steve founded NY NJ PA Weather in 2007, transforming a small independent forecasting site into one of the Northeast's premier digital weather brands. Today, NY NJ PA Weather serves thousands of subscribers and followers with daily forecasts, long-range analysis, and high-impact storm coverage.

Before launching NY NJ PA Weather, Steve began his career at WeatherBank, Inc., where he served as Lead Forecaster for Northeast Operations, was promoted into management, and led the company's satellite data division. He is a graduate of the State University of New York at Oswego, where he studied meteorology.

Steve also holds the LEED AP Operations + Maintenance credential, reflecting advanced knowledge of sustainable building operations, environmental performance, and resilience. That expertise strengthens StormCore's work at the intersection of weather, infrastructure, building performance, and operational risk.

Steve currently serves as the 2026 President of the American Meteorological Society's Board of Digital Meteorologists, where he helps advance professional standards, digital forecasting practices, and public weather communication across the field.

As Co-Founder and CEO of StormCore Holdings, Steve is expanding his decades of forecasting expertise into Weather Intelligence & Risk Advisory, Forensic Meteorology & Expert Witness Services, operational risk assessment, and resilience consulting.
